Master's Degree program with a concentration in: Multivariate Statistics, Machine Learning, Experimental Design, Forecasting, Financial Risk Management and Web/Social Media Analytics. Projects include:

•Performed a digital brand evaluation of the Keurig Brand of coffee making equipment. Harvested 44,000+ Amazon reviews for the various models of coffee making machine, beverages and associated products. Parsed data with Python, databased content in SQL. Performed Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) in SAS Enterprise miner, to identify feature vectors that indicate consumer opinion. Used Tableau to provide visual indication of level of influence and star rating on a map. Data visualization of the star ratings for 17 coffee makers was performed in D3JS, using Google Maps API. Data Source: Amazon.

•Analysed longitudinal effects of a change in tutor advisement systems within small/large schools for populations of students covering a 4 year period. Applied multiple ANOVA/ANCOVA techniques including CRD, RBD and CRF experimental designs. Interaction terms indicate that new students subjected to the new advisement system respond favorably however, students that have been subjected to the original system do not respond to the new system.

•Analysed 60,000+ published medical journals (1980 – 2014) regarding Sleep Disorder Breathing, using Singular Value Decomposition text processing techniques. Research output is applicable to academic institutions and medical professionals, to indicate frequent authors, publishers, universities and subject matter of the existing body of evidence within this specialized area, to identify commercial opportunities within this space. Data Source: PubMed.

•Developed a valuation model to predict the auction price of capital intensive purchases. Utilized Principle Components Analysis, K-means Clustering, Support Vector Machine, Multivariate Regression and Decision Trees, to perform variable reduction from 52 to 9 influencial variables for a data set comprising 440,000+ rows. Model output (MAE) is assessed to be within 1.1%. Data Source: Kaggle.

•Investigated the effectiveness of foreign aid investment in Sub-Saharan Africa for the 15 largest countries (By population), using Data Envelopment Analysis. Model indicates efficiency in South Africa decreased from 98% in 2002, to 61% in 2010, despite per capita spending increasing from $300, to $690. Data Source: World Bank.

•Developed a predictive model to forecast results in a popular TV show 'Dancing With The Stars', from social media data (450,000 Tweets) and judges weekly scores. Statistical analysis revealed that judge's scores consistently predict weekly failure of contestants, with a reported pearson coefficient of 0.78. Data Source Twitter/Topsy/Wikipedia.

•Evaluated customer satisfaction of Amazon's Kindle products, using machine learning/NLP techniques. Data comprised over 34,000 Amazon, Tesco PLC and E-Bay reviews. Research indicates customer's preference for a dedicated e-reader, despite the launch of the heavily subsidized Kindle Fire HD.Data Source: Amazon.

•Derived a predictive model to forecast the T+5 day share price of Apple Inc, utilising machine learning techniques including Artificial Neural Networks, K-means Clustering and Decision Trees. Model performance is reported with a MAE of 2.08%, with a reported SSE 0.0017. Data Source: Bloomberg.

•Analysed performance of 1,169 NASDAQ companies, using multivariate techniques to establish a relationship between equity pricing and financial metrics. Developed a predictive model that forecasts share price, with a reported of 0.79. Data Source: Bloomberg.
